Project Summary
True Love is a Swedish-Croatian romantic comedy entering pre-production with SF Studios. Director and writer Martina Haag reunites with screenwriter Peter Arrhenius for this story about finding love later in life. Norwegian actor Kristofer Hivju stars opposite Swedish actress Frida Hallgren in a film that explores trust, deception, and second chances for characters over fifty. The production is a co-production between SF Studios and Croatia's Kinorama, with broadcasters SVT and NRK attached, alongside funding from the Swedish Film Institute, Film Stockholm, and Film i Dalarna. Filming between Stockholm, Dalecarlia (Sweden), and Croatia begins October 8, 2026, with delivery planned for fall 2027. Producer Helen Ahlsson calls it SF Studios' first romantic comedy in years, citing the script's blend of believable characters with humor and emotion.
