NRK

NRK (Norsk rikskringkasting AS), the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, is Norway's largest public service broadcaster and media organisation, wholly owned by the Norwegian state via the Ministry of Culture and Equality. Founded in 1933 and headquartered at Marienlyst in Oslo, NRK operates three national TV channels (NRK1, NRK2, NRK3/Super), 14+ national radio channels, and the high-traffic website nrk.no, reaching approximately 91% of Norway's population on a daily basis. As a non-commercial, politically independent broadcaster, NRK produces and distributes news, drama, documentaries, entertainment, sport, and children's content, with a mandate to strengthen Norwegian and Sámi language and culture.
