Bad Fairies

Bad Fairies is an animated musical feature currently in production in London for Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation. The film is directed by Megan Nicole Dong, creator of Netflix's Centaurworld, and co-directed by Olivier Staphylas, with an original screenplay by Deborah Frances-White. Tony-winning duo Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss from Six: The Musical are writing original songs, while Isabella Summers of Florence + The Machine is composing the score. The voice cast includes Cynthia Erivo as Jayne Staplegun, with recent additions Kylie Minogue as Clowder the Cat Witch, Jonathan Groff as Robin Goodfellow, and Catherine Tate as the Fairy Gothmother. Additional cast members include Ncuti Gatwa, James Acaster, Dee Bradley Baker, and Serrana Su-Ling Bliss. DNEG Animation serves as digital partner on the project, which marks the first feature under the first-look deal between Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation. The film is set in contemporary London and is scheduled for theatrical release on May 21, 2027.
