Pass the Salt

Pass the Salt marks the expansion of Panta Mosleh's award-winning 2018 short film into both a feature film for Hollywood Suite and a six-part series for OUTtv. Mosleh directs and stars as Parmiss Mansour, the grad student at the heart of this interfaith romance, with Amanda Wear playing Nava, her Jewish love interest. The ensemble cast includes Adam Fox as Alex, Nathanael Vass as Dickie, alongside previously announced cast members Valeh Ashraf, Moheb Jindran, Babak Haleky, Peri Allen, Craig March, Jen Griffin, Donia Kash, Hani Mefti, and Shayan Bayat. PK Studio Productions is producing, with backing from the Bell Fund, Canada Media Fund, and Creative B. C. The Vancouver production is gearing up to begin principal photography, continuing Mosleh's mission to bring authentic queer and BIPOC stories to Canadian screens.
