Project Summary
Set in Oxford, this debut novel follows American Ella Durran, a 24-year-old Rhodes Scholar balancing her dream of studying at Oxford with a remote job for a rising political star. Her plans shift when she meets Jamie Davenport, a witty local who ruins her first day and turns out to be her English literature professor. Despite a rocky start, a late-night drink reveals a deep connection. As their casual fling turns serious and Jamie's life-changing secret emerges, Ella must choose between her political ambitions and supporting Jamie, redefining her dreams along the way.
