Project Summary
Jaq is a six-episode Netflix series bringing back Jasmine Jobson in her BAFTA-winning role as Jacqueline 'Jaq' Lawrence from the acclaimed crime drama Top Boy. Created and written by playwright Ryan Calais Cameron, the series picks up five years after Top Boy's 2023 conclusion, with Jaq living in a seaside town when someone close to her goes missing, pulling her back into the criminal underworld she tried to escape. Jobson serves as executive producer alongside Cameron, working with production companies Cowboy Films and Easter Partisan Films. Ronan Bennett, creator of the original Top Boy universe, executive produces through Easter Partisan Films, with additional producers including DreamCrew Entertainment and SpringHill Studios. Production is set to begin in 2027 in the United Kingdom, continuing the East London-based story that made Top Boy a critical success.
