Project Summary
Homesick is an indie horror thriller now filming in Winnipeg. The project follows Dr. Abby Morrison (Mena Suvari), a compassionate physician whose carefully built life conceals a secret she has never shared with her husband. With their daughter away at college, Abby and her husband Gordy (David Arquette) are settling into life as empty nesters when the arrival of a mysterious young woman (Belle Shouse) shatters their sense of safety. Todd Slavkin is directing from a script he co-wrote with longtime writing and producing partner Darren Swimmer, the duo behind Shadowhunters, Smallville, and The Mysterious Benedict Society. The production comes from Evoke Entertainment and Freefall Films, with Stan Spry, Henry Boger, and Anthony Fankhauser producing. Principal photography began October 21, 2026 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
