Project Summary
Long Years Ago is a period family comedy-drama from The Lunchbox director Ritesh Batra, now shooting in Mumbai. The film brings together Bollywood icons Saif Ali Khan and Vidya Balan alongside French actress Mélanie Laurent in a story set in 1991 about a family navigating unspoken emotions and difficult conversations. Batra wrote and directs the project, which is produced through his company Poetic License in partnership with Jio Studios and Good Chaos. Jyoti Deshpande produces for Jio Studios, with Mike Goodridge, Teresa Moneo, and Siddharth Mehra serving as executive producers.
