Project Summary
A Barrister for the Earth is an environmental legal drama series in development at Eleventh Hour Films. Victoria Asare-Archer, lead writer and executive producer of Netflix's Missing You, is attached to develop the original contemporary series inspired by Monica Feria-Tinta's 2025 book of the same name. The book, shortlisted at the Westminster Book Awards, chronicles ten real legal cases championing environmental justice. Eleventh Hour Films is partnering with Climate Spring, a global organization focused on climate representation in media, to bring the project to screen. The Sony Pictures-backed production company is known for Alex Rider and Magpie Murders. Co-CEOs Eve Gutierrez and Paula Cuddy are leading the development. No network, production dates, or casting have been announced.
