Project Summary
Netflix has begun production on a six-episode limited series adapting Roald Dahl's adult short stories. Writer Danny Brocklehurst, known for Fool Me Once, weaves together multiple narratives from Dahl's darker fiction into a serialized drama centered on a young couple stranded in a rundown seaside town. The cast includes Nicola Coughlan, Naomi Scott, Josh Finan, Imelda Staunton, Dominic West, Toby Jones, Carmen Ejogo, Christine Tremarco, Michael Socha, and Clarke Peters. Orchid Pictures is producing, with Suzanne Mackie and Gabriel Silver executive producing alongside Brocklehurst. Runyararo Mapfumo and Ben Gregor are directing. The series is currently filming in Manchester and across northern England, with plans to shoot at additional UK locations including Saltburn-on-Sea. The project is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2027.
