About

Searchlight Television, LLC is the television production division of Searchlight Pictures (a Walt Disney Studios subsidiary), launched on April 11, 2018, to broaden the variety of projects produced under the Searchlight banner. The division develops and produces original scripted series, limited series, and documentaries for streaming, cable, and broadcast partners — including Hulu, FX, Disney+, HBO Max, and others. It operates under the same prestige, auteur-driven creative philosophy as its parent company, earning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series for its debut production, The Dropout (Hulu, 2022), and has since produced acclaimed titles including The Full Monty, History of the World, Part II, La Máquina, and Furious.
