The Last Druid

The Last Druid is an action-drama that reunites Russell Crowe with historical epic filmmaking a quarter century after Gladiator. The film is directed by William Eubank from a script he co-wrote with Phil Gawthorne and Carlyle Eubank. Crowe stars as a peaceful Celtic elder whose secluded community is discovered by the Roman Empire, forcing him to awaken the warrior within. The cast includes Rose Leslie, Andreas Pietschmann, and Daniel Zovatto. The production is backed by a team of producers including Adrián Guerra, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger, and Ben Pugh, with AGC Studios, 42, CAA Media Finance, and Nostromo Pictures behind the project. Principal photography began June 8 in Barcelona and the Canary Islands, Spain, with cinematographer Agustin Claramunt and production designer Laia Colet leading key departments. Amazon MGM Studios acquired select international distribution rights in late 2024.
