Holly Williams a professor of History, in her 30's, has a long history of finding Mr. Right. She meets Josh, a handsome but vapid attorney. However, Holly's sister Amy see potential in this relationship & wants it to work. She remembers the story of Cyrano De Bergerac & approaches David, Holly's colleague, teaching French literature, to see if he can coach Josh on how to talk to Holly. Holly starts to fall for Josh, as David starts to fall for Holly.
