About

Odyssey Media Inc. is a Vancouver-based worldwide film, television, and digital media content creator founded in 2009 by producer Kirk Shaw, operating as a boutique studio specializing in lower-risk international co-productions. Backed by a $25 million investment fund, the company financed over 20 films with combined budgets exceeding $70 million, producing content at locations across the globe including China, Cuba, Romania, Bulgaria, the US, and Canada. The company is known for high-volume genre film and TV movie production, including notable titles such as Drive Hard (starring John Cusack) and Pound of Flesh (starring Jean-Claude Van Damme). The Vancouver city business licence is recorded as 'Gone Out of Business,' and founder Kirk Shaw has since moved on to co-lead Ambitious Entertainment (est. 2017), suggesting the company may be dormant.
