Sherlock's Secretary

Sherlock's Secretary is in development at USA Network, marking a return to the network for Andy Berman, the veteran writer-producer behind Psych. The procedural is based on the true story of bank employees at Abbey National who responded to fan mail addressed to Sherlock Holmes at 221B Baker Street in London. The series follows a woman who, after years of answering letters to the fictional detective, begins following in his footsteps and solving real cases. Berman will write the pilot and serve as showrunner, with Gug Kyriacou—who actually served as Sherlock's secretary while working at Abbey National Bank—consulting on the project. Fox Entertainment Studios is producing the series, which gives USA Network a character-driven procedural built around one of literature's most recognizable brands.
