Murderbot

Murderbot is returning to Apple TV+ for a second season, currently in production with a significantly expanded cast. The sci-fi comedy series, based on Martha Wells' award-winning Murderbot Diaries novels, stars Alexander Skarsgård as the titular security construct and is created by Chris and Paul Weitz. Season 2 has added 25 recurring and guest actors including Steve Buscemi, Michael Sheen, Tramell Tillman, Wanda Sykes, and Patton Oswalt, joining returning series regulars Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, and Sabrina Wu. CBS Studios produces in partnership with Depth of Field and Phantom Four Films. Principal photography began in mid-2026 in Madrid, Spain, with a 2027 premiere anticipated.
