Project Summary
Line of Duty is back in post-production for its seventh season, a six-part series created and written by Jed Mercurio for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Martin Compston, Vicky McClure, and Adrian Dunbar reprise their roles as the core investigative trio, now operating under the newly rebranded Inspectorate of Police Standards following AC-12's disbanding. The season introduces Tom Weston-Jones as DI Dominic Gough, a charismatic Tactical Operations officer accused of abuse, alongside new cast members Laura Aikman, Robert Carlyle, Levi Brown, and Amy Leigh Hickman. Directed by Jennie Darnell and produced by World Productions in association with ITV Studios, the series filmed in Belfast through spring and summer 2026, wrapping in July. A 2027 broadcast is expected.
