Project Summary
Honeymoon/Funeral is a romantic comedy currently in production in London. Director Nahnatchka Khan reunites with writer Julia Bicknell for this project about two women who meet on a transatlantic flight under dramatically different circumstances and forge an unexpected connection. Rebecca Ferguson and Greta Lee lead the cast, with Carrie Coon recently joining in a supporting role as Sarah, the ex-fiancée of Lee's character. MRC is financing and overseeing production, with Jennifer Carreras and Khan producing through their Fierce Baby banner. Bicknell also serves as a producer. FilmNation Entertainment is handling worldwide sales and launched the project at the Toronto International Film Festival market in September 2026. The film is expected to be released in summer 2027.
