Happy Place

After a suicide attempt, Samira is sent to a private mental health facility managed by Dr. Louis Stratton. Initially resistant to her treatment, Samira finds herself bonding with her fellow patients, some victims of sexual assault like herself, whose lives have been derailed by their own past traumas. Ultimately, Samira must stop focusing on the past to reach towards the future, and her difficult road to recovery has reverberations for all of the women on the ward – as do theirs for her.
