Jennifer Kawaja is President of Scripted and Feature Films, English Content at Sphere Media (Toronto), formerly co-founder and co-head of Sienna Films, which she built with partner Julia Sereny from 1995 until its acquisition by Kew Media Group in 2017 and subsequent purchase by Datsit Sphere/Sphere Media in 2020. Over three decades she has executive produced Peabody Award-winning Sort Of, Primetime Emmy-nominated The Porter, Cardinal, Trickster, Ransom, and the 2025 Netflix global hit Wayward, while her feature producing credits include How She Move (Sundance 2007), Touch of Pink (Sundance 2004), and New Waterford Girl. Of Middle Eastern descent and raised in the Caribbean, Kawaja is widely recognized for championing diverse and underrepresented voices in Canadian film and television, and was inducted into Playback Magazine's Canadian Film and Television Hall of Fame in 2024.
