Sienna Films

Sienna Films is a Toronto-based independent film and television production company founded in 1992 by Co-Presidents Jennifer Kawaja and Julia Sereny. Named Playback Magazine's Production Company of the Year, the company is one of Canada's pre-eminent English-language scripted content producers, known for distinctive original content developed with diverse creators and filmmakers. Notable productions include the acclaimed crime drama series Cardinal (CTV/Hulu/BBC4), the hit series Ransom (CBS/Global), the Indigenous supernatural drama Trickster (CBC/APTN), and the boundary-pushing comedy-drama Sort Of (CBC). In March 2020, Sienna Films was acquired by DATSIT Sphere (now Sphere Media), becoming a subsidiary of that Montreal-based production and distribution group.
