AVEKFollow

AVEK (Audiovisual Culture Promotion Centre) is a Finnish public funding body established in 1987, operating as a division of the copyright organisation Kopiosto. It promotes audiovisual culture by distributing copyright remuneration funds — primarily from private copying levies financed from the Finnish state budget — as grants supporting the production of documentary films, short films, animations, and media art. AVEK is the most significant public funder of media art and documentary cinema in Finland, also supporting international promotion of Finnish AV works, professional training, and industry festivals.
