Making Movies

Making Movies is a Latin Grammy-nominated international rock band formed in Kansas City, Missouri in 2009, founded by Panamanian songwriter, musician, filmmaker, and cultural producer Enrique Chi. Known for blending cumbia, blues, salsa, soul, psychedelia, and rock 'n' roll, the band reached #3 on Billboard's Latin Pop Album chart with 'I Am Another You' and collaborated with salsa icon Rubén Blades on 'No Te Calles,' featured on NPR's Best Songs of 2019. Beyond music, the band produces the NEA-funded documentary series AMERI'KANA TV and supports the nonprofit Art as Mentorship, which uses songwriting to empower young artists.
