Crime Casters
Project Summary
Crime Casters marks the first feature film from Haven't You Done Well Productions, the production company founded by comedy group Aunty Donna. Max Miller directs from a script by Scott Limbrick, with producers Monique Mulcahy, Austin Hayden, and Georgia Mappin leading the charge. The comedy follows Claire, a young journalist who heads to a small country town to record a true-crime podcast, only to witness a police officer dumping a body. From there, she's pulled into increasingly bizarre events involving sinkholes, UFOlogists, and a dead billionaire. The production is backed by Screen Australia, VicScreen, Ludo Studio, and the MIFF Premiere Fund, with Rialto Distribution handling Australian release and Blue Finch Films Releasing managing international sales. Principal photography begins August 17 in and around Melbourne, with key crew including cinematographer Aaron Farrugia, production designer Josephine Wagstaff, costume designer Stephanie Hooke, and hair and makeup designer Lizzie Sharp.
