MIFF Premiere FundFollow

The MIFF Premiere Fund is a Victorian Government-funded minority co-financing initiative administered by the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF), operational since 2007. It provides equity investment and/or loans of up to A$200,000 to new Australian quality theatrical feature films (narrative-drama and documentaries) that then world premiere at MIFF. As a strategic arm of MIFF Industry, the Fund has co-financed more than 100 projects, with supported titles winning over 80 awards and earning selection at Berlin, Cannes, Rotterdam, Sundance, and Toronto film festivals. Notable funded films include Balibo, Bran Nue Dae, Nitram, Shayda, Paper Planes, Memoir of a Snail, and These Final Hours.
