Project Summary
Bella From Barneys has received a series order at Amazon MGM Studios, with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage creating, executive producing, and showrunning under their Fake Empire banner. The drama follows Bella Baldwin, an outer-borough outsider with an eye for style who starts in the stockroom of the newly revived Barneys New York. When she talks her way into becoming a personal shopper to the store's most notorious socialite client, she's pulled into a cutthroat world of fashion, family secrets, and the orbit of an heir fighting to save the family business. The series is set in a fictional Beverly Hills Barneys. Susan Rovner and Rachel Kaplan serve as executive producers alongside Corey Salter, Colin Smeeton, and Matthew Gross from Authentic Studios, the production arm of Barneys owner Authentic Brands Group. The project falls under Fake Empire's first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios and will stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Casting and production timelines have not yet been announced.
