Fake Empire

Fake Empire is a Los Angeles-based television and film production company founded in 2010 by writer-producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, evolving from Schwartz's earlier banner College Hill Pictures (est. 2003). The company is best known for developing and producing hit series including Gossip Girl, Chuck, Hart of Dixie, Dynasty, Marvel's Runaways, and Nancy Drew, with both its film and television divisions overseen by Lis Rowinski. In May 2025, Fake Empire struck a new two-year first-look TV deal with Amazon MGM Studios, with projects including the untitled Barneys New York drama series and Sterling Point in active development.
