Attica Locke is a New York Times bestselling author and award-winning writer-producer for television, born in 1974 in Houston, Texas and based in Los Angeles. Her TV credits include Empire, When They See Us, the Emmy-nominated Little Fires Everywhere (for which she won an NAACP Image Award for television writing), and From Scratch (Netflix), which she co-created and served as showrunner alongside her sister Tembi Locke. She is currently in a multi-year overall deal with Universal Television, developing an adaptation of her Highway 59 novel series and other projects. As a novelist, she has published six books, including the Edgar Award-winning Bluebird, Bluebird and its sequels, with her sixth novel Guide Me Home published in September 2024.
