Project Summary
Bad Blood is a four-part limited series for ITV and ITVX, currently filming in the North East of England. Written by BAFTA award-winning screenwriter Peter Moffat and directed by Julia Ford, the drama dramatizes the infected blood scandal that affected more than 30,000 people. The series centers on four boys at Treloar's, a boarding school for disabled children with an attached NHS center for hemophiliacs, who received Factor VIII treatment sourced from high-risk donors including US prisoners. World Productions is producing, with an ensemble cast led by Iain Glen, Ben Chaplin, Susan Lynch, and Luke Treadaway. Hannah McClean from Blue Lights joins the cast alongside Patrick Fabian, Precious Wura Alabi, Joe Absolom, Ron Cook, Peter Sullivan, and Cal MacAninch. The production is supported by the North East Production Fund and is expected to air on ITV, STV, and ITVX in 2027.
