NOPD Detective Greg Washington is on a journey to solve the murder of a 30-year-old woman, whose corpse turns up completely charred in a dark alley in East New Orleans. This shocking scene is the beginning of his search for the murderer of this woman, who leaves behind her 9-year old daughter, Tanya. Throughout the journey of the film, Greg is thrust down a dark path trying to bring closure and justice to her family; one that will test his own family, his faith, and his loyalty in ways he couldn't possibly imagine.
