Francine Joyce Maisler is one of the most acclaimed and influential casting directors in contemporary film and television, with a career spanning over 70 feature films and numerous television productions. She began her career at Actors' Equity Association in New York before rising to prominence with Reality Bites (1994) and The Usual Suspects (1995), going on to cast landmark films including 12 Years a Slave, The Revenant, Dune, Dune: Part Two, Little Women, and Sinners (2025), for which she received a nomination for the inaugural Academy Award for Achievement in Casting. A two-time Primetime Emmy winner (Succession, The Studio) and recipient of fifteen Artios Awards from the Casting Society of America, she has been a trusted collaborator of directors including Alejandro González Iñárritu, Denis Villeneuve, Ryan Coogler, Aaron Sorkin, and Steve McQueen.
