Limbo, U.S.A.

Limbo, U. S. A. is an independent feature making its way into pre-production under the direction of Can Merdan Doğan, who makes his feature debut after award-winning shorts that played BFI London and international festivals. The bilingual romantic drama stars Turkish actor Sercan Badur in his English-language debut alongside Tony Award winner Reed Birney, with a screenplay by New York-based actor-writers David Beck and Ezgi Cohen. The project is produced by Catriona Rubenis-Stevens of Half-Light Productions alongside Beck and Cohen, with Beck producing through The Great Griffon. Principal photography is slated to begin in May 2027 across New York City, New Jersey, and Istanbul, with post-production planned for Germany.
