Marvel Studios, LLC is an American film and television production company and wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company (via Marvel Entertainment), best known as the creator of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) — the highest-grossing film franchise in history, with over $30 billion in worldwide box office. Based at the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California, the studio has produced 37+ MCU films and 17+ Disney+ series since 2008 under the leadership of President Kevin Feige. The studio operates sub-labels including Marvel Television (live-action Disney+ series) and Marvel Animation (animated Disney+ series), and distributes its theatrical releases through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
