Project Summary
Marvel Studios is actively casting its X-Men reboot, the first mutant-focused film to be fully developed under the MCU banner. Jake Schreier, fresh off Thunderbolts, is directing from a script by Beef creator Lee Sung Jin and The Bear showrunner Joanna Calo. Samara Weaving has been cast as Emma Frost, the telepathic White Queen, marking the first official casting announcement for the project. Production is expected to begin before the end of 2026, with rumors pointing to UK filming locations. The X-Men reboot is slated for a 2028 release, following Avengers: Secret Wars, and will launch a new saga centered around Marvel's mutant characters.
