Project Summary
White Knight is an R-rated comedy in development at Screen Gems, with Michael Lewen attached to direct. The project is based on a spec script by Christopher William Young, discovered on the Black List website by Unknown Quantity Creative Executive Brandon Xie. Chris Bremner and Jeff Arkuss are producing through Unknown Quantity, Bremner's production company operating under a deal with Sony Pictures. Plot details are being kept under wraps, though the film is described as outrageous, high-concept fare. Lewen comes to the project fresh off writing and directing Tiny Fugitives, a Point Grey Pictures comedy that released theatrically in September 2026. The director previously worked at Apatow Productions overseeing projects including Trainwreck, The Big Sick, and The King of Staten Island. White Knight marks the first sale for Young, a Florida State graduate who was working as a bartender in Los Angeles when the script sold.
