Apatow Productions

The Apatow Company, doing business as Apatow Productions, is an American film and television production company founded by Judd Apatow in 1999, headquartered in Los Angeles. The company is one of Hollywood's preeminent comedy producers, responsible for landmark films including The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad, Bridesmaids, Trainwreck, and The King of Staten Island, as well as acclaimed TV series such as Freaks and Geeks, Girls, Love, and Crashing. In March 2022, Apatow Productions entered into a multi-year overall deal with NBCUniversal encompassing film development for Universal Pictures and television for Universal Studio Group including Peacock. The company has more recently expanded into documentary filmmaking, producing HBO projects on Garry Shandling, George Carlin, and Mel Brooks.
