Project Summary
The Third Hand has wrapped principal photography and entered post-production under the direction of Michel Hazanavicius, the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind The Artist. The feature is a silent film shot in color, adapted from Arthur Dreyfus's 2023 novel by Hazanavicius and Thomas Cailley. The cast includes François Civil, Bérénice Bejo, Rebecca Marder, and Michel Fau. Les Compagnons du cinéma is producing with Florence Gastaud and Patrick Sobelman, with co-production from StudioCanal and France 3 Cinéma. Cinematographer David Chambille and composer Alexandre Desplat round out the key creative team. Sales were launched at TIFF 2026 through Goodfellas, with StudioCanal handling French distribution.
