France 3 Cinéma

France 3 Cinéma is the film co-production subsidiary of France Télévisions (the French public broadcasting group), established in 1984 to fulfill the cinematic co-production mandate of France 3. It co-produces approximately 25–35 French and European feature films per year across drama, comedy, animation, and documentary genres, with an emphasis on first and second films, socially engaged subjects, and regional/heritage storytelling. Since its founding it has co-produced over 1,078 films for a total investment of €335 million, making it one of France's most prolific and influential film co-financiers. Its editorial mandate centres on quality, diversity, and citizen-oriented storytelling, partnering with both established auteurs and emerging talent.
