About
Florence Gastaud is a French film producer and the Executive Director of Les Compagnons du Cinéma, the Paris-based production company she co-founded in 2016 with director Michel Hazanavicius and writer-director Riad Sattouf. Born in March 1975 in Nice, she trained as a private-law jurist before serving as Déléguée Générale of L'ARP (Société civile des Auteurs Réalisateurs Producteurs) from 2008 to 2016, where she was also manager of the Cinéma des Cinéastes. Through Les Compagnons du Cinéma, she has produced or executive-produced a slate of acclaimed French films and series, including Hazanavicius's Cannes Competition titles Le Redoutable (2017) and The Most Precious of Cargoes (2024), the Canal+ animation series Esther's Notebooks, and Sylvie Verheyde's Netflix film Madame Claude (2021).
