Project Summary
The Summer I Turned Pretty is returning to North Carolina for its feature-film conclusion, with principal photography underway in Wilmington and surrounding southeastern locations including Southport. Jenny Han is directing from a screenplay she co-wrote with Sarah Kucserka, her series co-showrunner. Amazon MGM Studios and wiip are producing, with Lola Tung and Christopher Briney reprising their roles as Belly Conklin and Conrad Fisher. The movie picks up after the series finale, which saw Belly finally choose Conrad, ending the three-season love triangle. Production began April 27, 2026, with filming scheduled through late June.
