The Streets of Little Italy: 100 Years of San Gennaro

The Streets of Little Italy: 100 Years of San Gennaro is a feature documentary currently in production, directed by Paul Borghese with narration by Armand Assante. The film chronicles the century-long evolution of the Feast of San Gennaro from its 1926 origins as a one-day immigrant religious procession to its current status as an iconic New York tradition. Production is led by CIAO USA in collaboration with Figli di San Gennaro, Inc. , with Fred Gardaphé writing and George Mitas handling cinematography. Filming has taken the crew to Naples, Benevento, and Pozzuoli in Italy, and is currently underway in New York's Little Italy, where production will continue through the centennial celebration in September 2026.
