The Sound of Something New

The Sound of Something New is currently in post-production, directed by Paolo Genovese, known for his 2016 hit Perfect Strangers. The film is produced by Lotus Production, a Leone Film Group company, in partnership with RAI Cinema. Set in Milan, the ensemble drama follows six characters whose paths cross through humiliations, small acts of kindness, and buried desires, until a chance encounter between two of them sparks the possibility of a second chance, setting off a chain of events that unsettles all their lives. The project follows Genovese's 2025 concept film Madly and is being sold internationally by RAI Cinema at the Cannes Marché du Film, with distribution deals already secured across Europe, Latin America, and other territories.
