The Rise of the Rockstar Chef
Project Summary
The Rise of the Rockstar Chef is a three-part documentary series currently in production for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Studio Ramsay Global is producing the project, with Zoë Dobson directing and producing, and Lisa Edwards and Amanda Westwood serving as executive producers. Emma Pinching is line producer, with Jess Holder as executive in charge of production. The series explores how Marco Pierre White, Gordon Ramsay, and Heston Blumenthal reshaped Britain's restaurant industry during the 1990s and 2000s Cool Britannia era. The documentary features candid interviews with all three chefs and culminates in their first on-screen reunion in decades, alongside testimony from food critics, maîtres d', and former commis chefs who witnessed their rivalries first-hand. Catherine Catton commissioned the series for the BBC, with Ricky Cooper as commissioning editor. Fox Entertainment Global will handle international distribution. The series is scheduled to air later in 2026.
