Project Summary
Shin To Shin is an independent, character-driven ensemble drama set inside America's largest Thai boxing tournament. When a seventeen-year-old girl enters the tournament for her first fight, she discovers a world of fighters, families, and officials grappling with how much of themselves they're willing to sacrifice for the sport they love. Inspired by more than 15 years of firsthand experience in Muay Thai, the film will be shot at the real tournament in Des Moines, Iowa, where more than 1,000 participants gather each summer. By leveraging the existing rings, crowds, and atmosphere of the event, Shin To Shin aims to deliver production value far beyond its microbudget. Writer-director Adam Wagner previously documented this same event in his feature documentary, A Fighting Legacy, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video and viewed in more than 70 countries. Development status: Screenplay and pitch deck complete. SAG-AFTRA actress Ava Cantrell attached as lead. Target production budget below $150,000. Currently seeking: An experienced producing partner to help package, finance, and oversee production, with Wagner attached as writer-director.
