Ron & Aussie / Launch North Three-Film Deal (First Film)

Ron & Aussie Productions has partnered with Launch North, the Canadian arm of Los Angeles-based The Launch Company, for a three-picture deal. All three features will be directed by Ron Dias and written by Dias and Joanne Jansen, the filmmakers behind the 2025 indie Morningside. The first film under the deal is scheduled to begin production this fall in Toronto, with an ensemble cast including Lovell Adams-Gray, Kiana Madeira, Joanne Jansen, and Orville Cummings attached. Ron & Aussie Productions, founded by Dias and Jansen, is a Toronto-based company known for spotlighting underrepresented voices with commercial, elevated storytelling. The remaining two titles and additional details from the slate are expected to be announced at TIFF's Big Day Out event on September 11, 2026.
