Project Summary
A nearly bankrupt theatre company has lost all its grants except the NEA, and the NEA is sending a judge to view their work. Unfortunately, the only show the judge can see is their annual production of 'A Christmas Carol' with participation from people in the community, and everything goes wrong. The NEA judges have not seen a production all year and their grant is up in the air. They send a judge to see 'A Christmas Carol' to evaluate the level of professionalism, creativity and community engagement. At this performance, anything that could go wrong, does and it keeps going wrong until the entire set collapses. This is a published play. Rehearsals begin October 17, 2026, with previews December 1, 2026, opening December 4, 2026, and closing January 10, 2027. Production is located in North Hollywood, CA.
