Otherwise Engaged is a romantic comedy gearing up for pre-production, with a March 2027 shoot scheduled in New York. The project marks the directorial debut of Suzanne Farwell, longtime producer and collaborator with Nancy Meyers on films including The Holiday and It's Complicated. Farwell co-wrote the script with Gabriel Mizrahi. Mister Smith Entertainment is handling international sales and launching pre-sales at the 2026 TIFF Market, while CAA Media Finance manages U. S. rights.
