Nacho Ate Spiderman

This is the West Coast Premiere of Michelle Kholos Brooks' Nacho Ate Spiderman. It is another gorgeous day in a picture-perfect, progressive beach community (well, Venice Beach, to be exact): the birds are singing, the sourdough starter is organic, and everyone is trying very hard to be a good person. Then Nacho, Brad and Brad's beloved rescue dog, kills Spiderman, their neighbors' award-winning rabbit. The Brads panic, hide the body, and begin an increasingly ridiculous attempt to protect their dog - and their own idea of themselves. What starts as a neighborly mishap erupts into a very funny war of politeness, self-righteousness, class anxiety, virtue signaling, resentment, and eventually flying cashew cheese. The comedy works best when everyone plays the stakes completely seriously.
