Project Summary

Lovers Go Home! is a Colombian drama directed by Juan Sebastián Mesa, currently in post-production as part of the WIP LatAm program at the San Sebastian Film Festival. The film follows Alejandra, a single mother working as a webcam model in Medellín, and Andrew, a disabled war veteran from New Jersey, whose online relationship evolves from sexual requests and casual conversations into an emotional bond. When Andrew travels to Colombia to meet Alejandra in person, their virtual intimacy collides with reality. The project is a co-production between El Sol Ermitaño and Rhayuela Films in Colombia, Potenza Producciones in Spain, Dublin Films in France, and Camera Oscura in Canada. The film stars Ángela Cano and Dave Dewar, with producers Carlo D'Ursi and David Hurst. The project won the WIP LATAM Industry Award in September 2026, securing post-production services and Spanish distribution through A Contracorriente Films.
