Project Summary
Under Fire is a feature documentary from director Brandon Kapelow making his directorial debut. The film follows Rob, an Idaho fire captain, as he undergoes ketamine-assisted psychotherapy to treat work-related PTSD accumulated over decades of first responder service. Produced by Laurel Thomson for Long Holiday, the project expands Kapelow's award-winning New York Times Op-Doc "An Act of Service." Executive producers include Riley Keough, Sacha Ben Harroche, Gina Gammell and Reef Oldberg for Felix Culpa; Clay Tweel and Shannon E. Riggs for Parkside Films; Andrew Hutcheson for Voyager; and Terry David Fine, Ronald Richardson and Emily Richardson. The documentary is currently in post-production and will have its world premiere at DOC NYC in November 2026 as part of the festival's U. S. Competition section, screening as an acquisition title with CAA Media Finance handling sales.
